The winners of the 2026 Canton Fair Design Award (CF Award) have been announced. UNI-T took home a Silver Award in the Light & Electrical category with its UTi760X Expert Thermal Imager.
The CF Award is the official product design award of the Canton Fair. Each year, an expert jury reviews entries from exhibitors and honors products that stand out in design, function and innovation.
What the UTi760X brings to the job
The UTi760X is a handheld thermal imager built around a 640 x 512 infrared detector with super-resolution processing. Thermal images come out sharper, and temperature readings more accurate. Multiple focusing options keep fine details clear even in demanding inspections.
Its measurement range runs from -20°C to 1200°C, wide enough for most industrial scenarios, and optional interchangeable lenses extend it further.
For analysis, users can add custom point, line and area measurement objects and set isotherms to read a scene at a glance. The device captures photos and records video on site, and it ships with free PC analysis software and a mobile app, so stored images can be reviewed later and turned into reports.
The core of the product is its AI visual analysis. Image capture, analysis and report generation used to be three separate manual steps. On the UTi760X they run as one workflow. Inspectors press once and get consistent results, and they can spend their time on fault assessment and decisions instead of device handling. In routine checks and large-scale inspection projects alike, that means more work done per day with fewer errors.
Red Dot and CF Award: two kinds of recognition
This is the second design honor for the UTi760X in 2026. In July, it was named a Red Dot Winner 2026.
The two awards weigh different things. Red Dot is one of the oldest design institutions in the world, and its jury measures a product against global standards of form, usability and execution. It answers a design question: is this product well made?
The CF Award jury works inside China’s largest trade fair, alongside the buyers who source products for markets worldwide. It answers a market question: does this design hold up where products actually compete for orders?
One speaks for design authority. The other speaks for the trade floor. The UTi760X now has both.
What this means for UNI-T
Two juries, two angles, one conclusion: professional-grade measurement can come in a tool that inspectors actually enjoy running all day. That is the direction UNI-T has taken with its thermal imaging line, and both awards confirm it.
UNI-T will keep investing in intelligent inspection technology and practical industrial design, and will bring more award-level tools to professionals worldwide.
